Nutana Suburban Centre (Saskatoon)
World / Canada / Saskatchewan / Saskatoon World / Canada / Saskatchewan / Division No. 11
First opened in the 1960s (with continued development and redevelopment continuing into 2006), the Nutana Suburban Centre was introduced as a new form of community format, combining high density residential, schools, parks, and commercial development. Somewhat ahead of its time, the "S.C." concept would not be attempted again until the 1980s, but would reach its height with the Blairmore Suburban Centre project on the west side.
