The course of Elliotts Lane has been raised at this point where it was to cross the Dorset and Somerset canal. (While the lane is raised and changes direction to cross what would be the canal route, this is the most enigmatic of traces)

  • The arches are clearly visible both sides. It is a skew bridge (very skewed) so look closely and the arches can be seen. For any further information contact the Dorset & Somerset Canal Society via the Chairman Derrick Hunt 01225 863066.
