Yantian International Container Terminals (YICT), a joint venture between HPH and Shenzhen Yantian Port Group (YPG), commenced operations in mid-1994. The company is responsible for operating and managing Phases I, II and III, the Expansion Project and the West Port of Yantian Port.

Yantian is a preferred port of call for mega container vessels in South China. More than 30 major shipping lines operate around 80 weekly services at Yantian, establishing an extensive shipping network that spans the globe.

To provide premium services, YICT continually develops the terminal by implementing state-of-the-art operational equipment and computer systems. At the same time, YICT applies Six Sigma methodology to promote process innovation initiatives and enhance staff training and qualification, thus improving overall customer service quality.
