  • This place was my home and shaped much of my childhood. It was a real nice place back then even though we didn't have any malls or restaurants. I lived there from 1990-1996 and came visited twice more before my father's contract ended. Good memories and lasting friendships were made there in little Yanbu. We lived close to Al Nawa Marqaz and I loved Pizza Sheik, Gourmet, and that place where they made great submarine sandwiches near the donut shop. Oh and the Broast Chicken at Camp 1 was the best with it's perfect garlic sauce. I will never forget the simple life, and the treasured and cherished closeness of the Filipino and expat community there. Thank GOD for the wonderful and unique experience that is Yanbu.
