The name “Tabunan” is known to be derived from the birds “Tabon” which lays their eggs in this plays. The white sand also serves as nest for “Pawikans” (Sea Turtle). “Tabunan” also means “to Burry or Hide” which is what the “Pawikans” do to their eggs..!
