This is how Madhepura Railway Station is known as, i.e., Dauram Madhepura. Rail operations began linking Madhepura as early as 1910, occasionally being interrupted by floods. However, broad gauge rail line began operating in 2010. Though the station was closed initially for three months for track conversion, it took three years and some agitations to resume rail services on 21st March,2010.THE MOST EFFECTIVE agitation was by NCP leader Suraj Yadav on 13th March, by offering puja on photo of Rail Minister etc.
