Gittone Stadium (Vineland, New Jersey)

Gittone Stadium, which has seen many exciting football games, is now being used for varsity, junior varsity and freshman football, along with home soccer matches for both the boys' and the girls' soccer teams. Gittone seats more than 4,000 and serves as the site for high school marching band competitions, and finals for the local soccer association's Memorial Day tournament. The stadium received an extensive facelift recently, that included much-needed repairs to the wall surrounding the stadium and other structural repairs. New ticket booths on the west side of the stadium allow entrance from a parking area between Landis Intermediate School and the Vineland Public Schools Transportation yard located on Coney Avenue. New bleachers, bathroom remodeling, and driveway paving to improve drainage were also part of the project. Lights brought night football back to Gittone Stadium for the first time in decades.
