Opened in 1996 in the old buildings of the Newark State Teacher's School and the Center for Occupational and Educational Development. Is a public magnet school in Newark, New Jersey. The building was designed by Guilbert & Betelle in the Gothic Revival style as the Newark Normal School to train teachers.
