This park was formerly known as the New Bedford Commons and is just North of the downtown area. The park features a basketball court, playground, and Veteran Memorial.

  • Great place for kids 1946-51. Pearl and Pope streets closed off after winter snows for sledding. The piles of cannonballs around the statue were fun to play on. Summer recreation programs included making wallets, etc.
