  G'Day David, I'm writing a book about my family's military history and it includes Te Maoi Whatu and his three sons; Te Wharerahi, Rewa aka Manu and Moka. Moka is my GGG Grandfather. I have been told that there is a photograph/s of some Pukepuke-Ahitapu's in the marae - is that correct? I will be coming to Rawhiti in late November or early December 2007 to do some research. Where can I source some information on the chiefs and the battles around town? museums/libraries?
