Glenville Fire Station located at the site of an old Indian Trading post.
the trading post is the North-west most building of adobe construction and has a plaque commemorating. This was also my working post as a seasonal Fire Fighter during the summers in the 1970s. The Captain of this station "Lou" was also a WWII Veteran and served on a US Navy warship. This station also managed the Kern Co. Prisoners working on Fire Breaks and the C.C.C. tree planting crews.
