  • Farokh Shahr is located 8 Km east of Shahr-e Kord (and 90 Km west of Isfahan) and previously was called Ghahfarokh. It's population now is about 60,000. Farokh shahri people speak persian. One of its beautiful parks is called Park-e Sarcheshme (Estakhr). This town was famous for its highly prized dairy products (especially from sheep) and some local industries including felt making, soap making, oil extraction factories and traditional shoe making (called Geeveh). This town is the closest to the preserved national park area called Tang-e Sayyad.
