This village was the seat of the Nakai rulers of this area and has witnessed many events in history.The Nakai Misal of the army of Maharaja Ranjit Singh was based here. In 1798 Maharaja Ranjit Singh married the daughter of Khazan Singh Nakai here in Beharwal.
The Nakai fort was a huge building in this village which has now been occupied by land grabbers.
