This octagon, located in Cass County, Missouri, is used by the US Army as a training area. Formerly used by the US Air Force as a "DROP ZONE".

Two interesting features of this site is the location of two earthen bunkers.

I don't think so, it is too far south of the old air base, and there is a runway just to the north of it. I will go out and look at it in a few days.
