Semarang Post Office Building is one of the historic buildings in the city of Semarang. On the east side there is a building on State Finance and the west are STIE BPD Central Java. The building was constructed at the time the postal services in Indonesia nearly half a century. Earlier, when the postal agency established by this Tervile JPTheben began operations in 1862, the building was occupied in the Old City, opposite the office of the communication services at Jalan Letjend Suprapto, more to the west. The Semarang included in the first three cities in the country that pioneered the postal service. This building was once used as a Post Office and Telegraph, but is now only used by the post office only. In 1979 restoration ever undertaken in this building, and the addition of a room at the rear of the building. In front of the Post Office, there are monuments Zero KM Semarang.
