Kiwayu Island

Kenya / Coast / Lamu /

Kiwayu is the furthest north of the islands in the north coast area. Around 10km long and on average only about 500m wide the island is essentially a sand spit with mangrove swamps and a small village on the landward lagoon, a broad sandy beach and some modest reefs on the ocean side.
