This location is the final resting place of Batac residents who, in old times, were not allowed by the Catholic Church to be buried in the CAtholic cemetery if they were not Catholics. Some of the prominent folks buried here include the last Dr. Silvestre Ranga Morales, founder of Eureka College, now known as Eureka HIgh School. Next to him are his wife Epifania Libed Layus Morales and his daughter Edith Eberle Morales Guirao. His son Royal Frank Layus Morales, a prominent civic leader in Los Angeles is buried in the US.
His granddaughter Ethel Nona Morales Guirao Tolentino lives in the US and his grandson Noel Guirao is in Batac. Other prominent people buried here include Attorney Victoria Crisostomo Mangapit Sturch, Eureka alumna and a former prominent attorney in Baguio City who was killed by an assassin's bullet. Other folks include prominent members of the United Church of Christ Church. These families include the families of Juan and Ana Reyes, Evaristo Tagatac, Libed families, Gaces and Manglalllan, Layus families and other members of the Morales clan. Also buried here is my granduncle Gaspar Libed Layus and his wife Belen. Others interred here include Mr. and Mrs. Abaton, former instructors at Eureka High School and others whom I no longer remember by name.
