  • Dinanagar a sub-tehsil in the district of Gurdaspur, has a rich history of its own. It was the summer capital of Maharaja Ranjit Singh of Punjab State (which includes present day Punjab, Harayana, Himachal Pradesh, parts of Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir states of India & Punjab State of Pakistan). Today this town comes under the Gurdaspur District of Punjab State of India. Dinanagar is famous for its ancient Dayanand Maath where spiritual education, auyerveda, physical activities are pracitised and encouraged, trying to prosper the ancient rich culture of India. With changing times Dinanagar is also progressing in Industrial Development and education sector. Beside having agriculture as its main stay, various ERW MS Conduit Pipes manufacturing units are operating in Dinanagar since 1950s. Recently wood industry has also shown its strong presence in this ancient town. In Education sector keeping in pace with country's develpoment various IT institute have come up (beside college education), giving ample oppurtunity to youths to choose their carrier. On cultural front 'Sanatan Dharam Sabha' (presently presided by Shri Khem Raj Aggarwal) is conducting various religious and other activities from time to time, to convey the message of truth, service of humanity to the residents of Dinanagar.
