Once upon a time, there used to be a "chullu" (illegal country liquour, hooch) setup below this bridge. With the construction of the metro extension and expansion of road, that no longer exists (phew) as well as the red light area a few metres northwards...
As a sign of changing times, we have the shopping complex built just opposite to that liquor den which also boasts a bar-cum-family restaurant
