We are talking about the family tree of Koltunovs — small nobility of Ostrogozhsky and Biryuchensky counties. The first in the family of these nobles can be considered a cossack of Ostrogozhsky Slobodsky regiment Mark Koltunov, who arrived in these places most likely with a part of the Chernigov regiment in 1652. His son Fyodor Markovich Koltunov was better known. He served in the hussar regiment in the rank of captain. Then he continued his service in Ostrogozhsky Commissariat. From 1777 he headed the Biryuchensky Commissariat.
