  • It might be the cleanest village in Africa, yes to the eye, but if you got to get more into the health state of the people its a different story. Most of the people are sick. 1. because of the state of the water...its dirty and salty that is visible to the eye.2.because they don`t take care of their health 3.poor service delivery.4.Lack of enough information and education on HIV & AIDS.The youth of that village are not making any difference to their community when it comes to uplifting the state of health related issues. My question is What is the most important factor here...the cleaness of the village to the eye or their health first. Not that i`m saying its not important to make the village clean..it is. I think the best thing is to prioritise.
  • I am very proud community member of Mathathane village, currently working in South Africa. I am very much concerned about the follwing things in our village: <> Lack of leadership skills and service delivery by the current BDP Councillor- Ismael Legwaila, who has failed us during the past 10-15 years in the following areas: ** Road Safety-in that the tarr road between Bobonong and Mathathane is not taken care of, as bushes have grown so big along its edges, something that poses safety threat to all motor vehicle road users ** He does not seem to have programmes in place on how to improve the socio- economic conditions of the Mathathane community ** He never convenes meetings with the community of Mathathane village, but we always hear that he has gone attend Council meetings. How on earth does a person like him attend Council meetings without mandate from the community that you claim to represent, is this man representing his own aspirations/interests and needs or his own?????????????? ** This man does not care about the Health of the people of Mathathane village at all, given the fact that we do not have access to clean water. The water is dirty and salty, and the boreholes that supply Mathathane villge with water are based in the middle of the village that is characterised by pit toilets, with absence of sewage system, meaning that the boreholes are highly contaminated.
  • There is poor administration in the village.we have a trust which we don't understand who it is serving.there is partnership with tuli lodge is managing the community trust but still we have no clue how profits are shared between partners. Please someone intervene before some busineses get rich on our expense
