Officially called Director Augusto Pestana Station it worked from 1934 and became the central station in 1983. It was closed in 1996 when the services to Uruguaiana were stopped. The public national rail roads system (R.F.F.S.A.) was abandoned and sold to private companies in late 90's. Nowadays the station is useless.
