Staritsa (Russian: Старица) is a town in Tver Oblast, Russia, and the administrative center of Staritsky District). The town stands on the Volga River, 77 kilometers (48 mi) from Tver. Population: 9,125 (2002 Census). It was previously known as Gorodok (until the 15th century).

  • It is a beautiful ancient provincial town. Lots of interesting. A lot of beggars in the street is bad.
  • Beautiful city. Only all impression about a city has spoilt local inhabitants which has prevented to look city centre. At first, having asked to light, then having uncovered knifes.
