Part of Georges Islands archipelago. The narrow thorofare separating Allen and Benner Islands is known as Georges Harbor. There is a small settlement of fishermen, and small craft sometimes anchor there. The best water is mid-channel in entering the thorofare from northeastward. Entering from southwestward favor the south side. In 1966, a submerged mooring cable, suspended above the bottom, was reported extending across Georges Harbor between Allen Island and Benner Island.
