Biofuture (Šilutė)
Since April 2004, in Šilutė factory owned by MG Baltic, the manufacture of bio-ethanol (dehydrated ethyl alcohol) has been started. For dehydration, particularly advanced world-wide technology of zeolit ceramic membranes is employed. The manufactured production is sold not only in Lithuania, but exported to the Western Europe. Ethanol is used for fuel (blending of petrol or manufacture of ETBE) or for chemical industry (denatured ethanol).
