Dunchurch is a large Warwickshire villageand civil parish in the district of Rugby, just three miles south of Rugby town centre, and eleven miles south-east of Coventry city centre.
Dunchurch is an historic village that served travellers as they made their way north from London or east - west across central England. The Dun Cow public house and former coaching inn stands by the crossroads next to the village green. The village is associated with Guy Fawkes and the gunpowder plot. Several of the conspirators waited in another public house next to the sandstone church for news of a successful explosion only to flee when they heard that the plot had been discovered.
