  • I RECENTLY UNDERWENT SURGERY AT NO 1 MILITARY HOSPITAL. THE TREATMENT THAT I RECEIVED FROM DR KRITZINGER WHO PERFORMED THE OPERATION AND THE NURSING STAFF OF WARD WAS EXCEPTIONAL AND COMPARABLE WITH INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS. LT COL (RETD) T.A.J. SCALLAN
  • I went for infertility treatment with Dr Deo. The first time I was very excited althow I had to buy the medication self because they only give you the injection if you want a abortion but I couldnt care less our dream of having a baby will come true, Everything went well the first time althow it did not work so we went for the second treatment. I phoned and made my appointments with Allen when I came there they did not even know about me she weren't there so someone else did the insemination she used the KY Gelly wich I know that it kills sperm so the procedure wasnt done right. The third time they did not do anything because I have a Sist on my egg now I must make an appointment to come and see dr Deo again before we start any treatment I had to wait for my period first I made an appointment on the 30th Of April I was there from six o clock just to hear 10 o Clock that she is on leave, I don't work for the goverment so I cant just make an appointment I must hear when I can get off from work again. I called this morning to make an appointment for next week Monday I told the nurse my problem and that I must see her urgent. Now the only appointment I can get is on 24 May so I missed two treatments already. This is redicioulous I cant see why they give you the option to go for insemination if they cant treat you the days that you need to be treated. So I just want to thank 1 MIlitary hospital for shattering my dreams in becoming a mom. I will rather save money and do it privately were I can get the service that I deserve!
  • 1 Mil is the worst hospital ever. the nurses in ward 19 don't know what they are doing or what's going on with the patients. If you want to die, just book in !!!
  • 1 military is the worst hospital ever

  • Good day! I was in 1 Mil hospital from 9 -14 June 2015. Ward 17 room 3. I was very sick and the nurses, sisters and doctors treated me so well! They were friendly, kind and very help full! I just want to say to all of them: THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! YOU WERE GREAT!!!! Love Tina Vrey
  • You must have been dreaming. You are the only one I know who is happy with them. What are they paying you
  • My mom were in 1 mil - oh my word - I bathed her, help her to get washed, took her own pillow and duvet. Her wound got infected. They had to operate again to clean it. She got an allergic reaction to the medicine after I cornered one of the doctors in the passage and forced him to her room to check on her. When he saw how badly infected her wound was he took photos of it but yes nothing came of it. My father in law fight for his country and made sure that she had a 100% medical for life - Steve Biko treat patients better than one Mil. Ok there are Nurses and staff that gives their best but there are also the bad apples that are only interested in exchanging hairpieces, makeup and ordering pepsi and Kentucky. One of the male nurses was so upset when my mom was admitted that the female nurses let my mom go to the bathroom without a rope - she couldn't wear her sleepwear at that time (she was on diapers etc) that he went to fetch a rope from the hospital stock and give it to my mom to cover herself. They didn't assist her in any way - he assist her to the bathroom and he wasn't even part of the ward he was on his way to the kitchen to fetch some water bottles. That evening when I tried to talk to the head of the nurses she just look at me, clicking her tongue and tell me that if the families stop interfering with their work it will be better. Luckily for her I didn't loose my temper but just walked away otherwise she would have been the one walking in diapers.
  • 1 mil hospital should be closed down and they must let provide us with medical aid, our husbands are paying for the medical that does not deliver hayi suka maan right now I'm pregnant and they send me to a private hospital the doctor there told me in my face that SANDF doesn't wanna pay he hasn't been paid the money from the previous patians this is imbarrasing I'm even afraid to go back for my next appointment.
  • My Mom is using medicine for high blood pressure and her Thyroid, it is part of her chronic medication. It is now the 4th month in a row that the clinic cannot provide the medication because they are always out of stock. The Military health services is playing with peoples lives by not providing the necessary medication. The clinic is refering us to get the medication at certain chemists that is not near where she lives adding to expenses to drive far in getting the medication. Now it forces us to pay for her meciation ourselves whereas it should be dispenced by the military clinics for her.
  • My mom went there yesterday, at 16h30, she waited for a doctor to see her until 22h00, then until 10h30 for her blood to be drawn. She was feeling sick, her heartbeat was very high, she was struggling to breath and was feeling drained. My dad confronted them but they did not do anything about it. Then they told her it will take another hour and a half for the results to come back which is nonsense, it only takes 30 min but they were upset with my dad for taking them on. There was another old lady there, 82 years old with cancer and old zimers, when my mom and dad left, they still haven't helped her. The service is pathetic. Why must you always threaten them with higher authority before anything happens????
  • Every place has good and bad side(advantage and disadvantage). I have been in one mil but what I can say is that things were better before minister nqakula and the service was better than now. Even the civilian who were working there, they were praising the best service and medication soldiers and their families were getting. Since the current minister took over everything went down the drain even staff members are so demorilised
