PNTC COLLEGES, was originally incorporated on April 18, 1994 as Philippine Nautical Training Institute, Inc. (PNTI), with the primary purpose of providing basic, upgrading and specialized courses or programmes for the promotion of safety of life and property at sea, the protection of marine environment, the advancement of maritime skills, efficiency in operation manned by Filipino seafarers, it continued to operate as a training center until 2002 when, in addition to the existing maritime training courses it originally offered, degree courses such as Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT),Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering (BSMarE), Bachelor of Science in Custom Administration, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Marketing Management and Operation Management together with vocational courses such as Seafarers Rating Course (SRC) in Deck, Engine, and Steward.
