The longest of the Tuckernuck beaches, West Beach has a gentle slope (in the summer), but don't let that make you assume that there are no currents, this whole area is practically one large movable sand pile, so one day the water could be shallow, and the next day it could be well over your head. There are NO Lifeguards.
