Trong cuộc chiến tranh Việt Nam địa điểm này ban đầu được chiếm đóng các 3ngày. Lữ đoàn Task Force, 25. Sư đoàn bộ binh khi nó được triển khai tại Việt Nam từ Hawaii. Sau khi Lữ đoàn triển khai ở phía nam tham gia còn lại của Sư đoàn, có trụ sở tại Củ Chi, khu vực này đã bị chiếm bởi quân đội Mỹ, đơn vị và trở thành kỹ sư được biết đến như là "kỹ sư Hill".

When the 3d. Brigade Task Force, 25th. Infantry Division arrived in Vietnam from Hawaii it established this area as it's headquarters. It remained here until it joined the 25th. Division in the Cu-Chi area. At that time the site became known as "Engineer Hill" with the arrival of an Engineer Brigade.
