  • blackshaw head....once a lovely little village on the edge of hebden bridge, now probably one of the most run down and un looked after villages in yorkshire. with a run of mix match houses, unrepaired dry stone walls which have been replaced with horrible sheep fencing, and lots of fields which over the years have severley suffered from neglect, under usage and the farmers merely collecting subsudies from the land and not putting anything back....the aray of truck bodies, scrap vehicles, rotting hay and scruffy appearance probably make blackshaw head not so appealing after all. unless blackshaw head is tidied up then i can see planners moving in and housing estates spring up in the unlikelest of places....blackshaw head, a village where nobody likes change
