The boundary very roughly marks the area of the Forest of Dean known as 'Stapledge Enclosure' a high escarpment with views towards the Severn and back towards Speech House. Here amongst the trees lie many remains of the coal mining past to be found by the keen eye. Numerous abandoned freemine drifts and loading banks and even some rusting piles of rail and the odd long disused coal tub or dram can still be found.
