Old railroad tunnel entrance with no exit. The other end of the tunnel was sealed when Interstate 81 was built. You have to climb half way down the gorge, near the power line, just to see it. It was part of the WB&H Railway, an electric train which ran between the cities of Hazleton and Wilkes-Barre. Ahead of its time, the railway had grades (incline or decline) not exceeding 3%. This technique was later used for the Interstate system. A little further north on Interstate 81, you can see the railbed moving toward the northwest, away from the southbound lanes.
