Bhinder

India / Punjab / Jandiala / Near Baba Bakala

Village Bhinder is located about 1 KM south of GT Road
between Rayya and Khilchian. The village is believed to
be founded in the late 17th century during the time of
Guru Teg Bahadur Jee. Majority of the village residents
use last name Bhinder but there are a few families
belonging to Dhillons, Sarans and Gills.

It will be great if someone can add more historical
information here.

There are other villages named Bhinder in both parts
of Punjab. For example, there is village Bhinder Kalan
near Moga, village Bhinder in Patiala district, village
Bhinder in Rupnagar district and village Fateh Bhinder
in Sialkot district in Pakistan.
