Kennedy school is an international primary school owned by the government and the English Schools Foundation of Hong Kong (ESF). Kennedy school has a British curriculum and uses UK English spelling in class. Kennedy school was originally housed in an old Japanese school on Kennedy road, Mid-levels and was named the Kennedy road Junior school which was established in 1962 and it had 40 children and two teachers. The school grew and eventually the old building on Kennedy road was too small and so the school was moved to a new campus and was renamed Kennedy school. The school currently has a little over 900 children. A comment from another editor: I had my Primary 1-4 here from 1992-1996.

  • I attended Kennedy Road Junior School from Class 2 to Class 4. I remember well Miss Barnes who was substitute headmistress during Miss Holmes' absence...around 1968/69...I remember our sports days in November at Jackson Park and our school trip on the British submarine The Onslaught. When I went to visit the school in 1988 the school was still located on Kennedy Road. Miss Holmes looked exactly as she did 20 years previously.
