Haifan dam is consider as one of the oldest dam not only in haifan but in the nearest areas . The dam was built after order from Al- emam Yahya Bin Hamed Al-deen in fifth decade of this century . The dam was destroyed more than once But was restored.the last restoration was in ninth decade.Many people are benefiting from dam especially in the winter where rain not falls especially al darag village.Near to it there is anthor old dam but not older than it but still keeping its old architectural character. the people used it for swimming befor but now with the spread of disease they leave it ond now fall of mud.
