  A model public housing estate providing super quality of life and transport convenience. Quiet neighbourhood with lush surroundings. Spacious public areas between buildings which are at most 11-storey high. Unlike the modern public housing estates where buildings are skyscraping and packed miserably, Nam Shan Estate allows its people to enjoy a much wider view of the sky, cultivating in its people, especially those who love to pamper themselves in the night breeze under the star-lit sky after a rewarding hour of shooting the netted basketball hoop, a magnanimity that can hardly been seen in the tenants of other housing areas. The love of Nam Shan Estate by its people with passing years only grows.

  很可惜﹐這村人口老化﹐南山球場﹐特別是晚上﹐總是冷冷清清。十多年前非常熱鬧﹐籃球足球往往同時在球場進行﹐如果踢波的是飛仔或是貌似黑社會的成年人﹐我們打籃球的只有乖乖場邊枯坐。今天的球場冷清得幾乎成了我的私人球場。十時半後球場燈滅﹐打得累了﹐就地躺在偌大的球場上﹐直視夜空幾點在城市光害下苟延殘喘的微弱星光。多虧南山村是七十年代末期落成的舊式屋村﹐每棟樓的層數不過十一﹐加上樓房之間距離寬裕﹐球場上躺身直望﹐頭上的天空還算一片廣闊﹐十五月亮圓滿明麗之時﹐仍有足夠的天空讓她向我展示其清明潔亮。
