  I took my parents to Tahiti and stayed at this hotel when it was the Hotel Taharaa and it was stunning in both views and amenities. The beach below was pretty much private but it was a black sand beach and a little abrasive on the skin when a wave slammed you up the beach. It took days to wash all of the fine black sand out of the pours of your skin but soooo worth it. Sorry to see it is now abandoned and rotting :-(
