This is a Khas bosti area of Greater Birpara.Most of the inhabitants are Nepalies.Only 15 to 20 years back this area was a lonely forest area. Today in 2008 it is congested with new houses and buildings of newcomers.Now the area is mostly inhabited by Bengalis.There is a Forest Range Office, a Nepali High School and a College (with humanities & commerce stream).
