Fort Benning is a United States Army post based in located in Columbus, Georgia in Chattahoochee County. The post boundaries extend into Chattahoochee counties in Georgia and Russell County, Alabama.
There are four main cantonment areas on Fort Benning: Main Post, Kelley Hill, Sand Hill, and Harmony Church.
Sand Hill is the primary location of the Infantry Training Brigade (198th Infantry Brigade) and the Basic Combat Training Brigade (192nd Infantry brigade). Sand Hill is also the location of the 30th AG Reception Battalion at Fort Benning.

  • Sand Hill isn't just OSUT. It's BCT as well.
  • OSUT is Basic and Advanced training combined. Unlike the support branches, Infantry and other combat arms do all their training at once. No slack for the grunts!
  • All 11-Bang Bangs in the US Army do their 15 weeks here. Lot of fucking chiggers in that sand. Shit ain't for everybody.
  • BCT Only at Benning is under the 194th Armored Division not the 192nd. There is no 192nd there
