  • This may be a airplane hanger the Japanese built. It had thick 3'-5' cement walls all around and maybe 30'x 40' or larger space area. I spent 2 years with Peace Corps in the Marshalls (1985-87)and 3-4 months on Tarawa, Maloelap Island. I used to go it these buildings at night to capture huge coconut crabs with the local kids. It was a "forbidden" place for the locals to be in due to the belief that ghosts of Japanese soldiers still patrol the area looking for someone to kill.
