An ancient village in District Rawalpindi. With so many ponds (Surr/Banni) and Bargad/Borh trees. There are more than 150 wells (khoo/chaah/kunwaan) with 3rd water supply scheme but the people are still unable to find pure drinking water as yet. The village is decorated with all facilities like bank, hospital, post office, schools (Govt 1885 & private), animal husbandry & kettle breeding center, fish farm, telephone exchange, seed store, cricket ground, market, jame' masjid (6 others), union council, WAPDA/agriculture offices. The representatives of this constituency held post of oil and gas ministry, gas facility is still long awaited for.

    Our uniou council is a beautiful geographical area and people are hardworking and want to get modern education but they are still on hope and due to natural beauty of our union council area,Rawalpindi's administration want opposite to this so they started doing dirty and polluted to this area as rawalpindi beacause all of waste garbage was dumped and throwing in open in this area while going to Bassali.

    Basali is a nice village but Rawalpindi garbage is dumped along our road but I still think that the bans & the surrs are not as beautiful as they were in our younger times I do hope that we should plant more trees & make it more greener to our basali

    idk about the garbage and dump but its beautiful , i mean you wouldn't expect a village as amazing as this near a populated city like Rawalpindi. Basali for life.

    Its 2016. Still we do'nt have Gas facility, neither any College nor any Hospital in the whole area. The representatives are busy on National level, we r striving for basic necessities.

    Garbage of Rawalpindi city is dumping or throwing in this area, we are badely effected due to this garbage like allergy polluted water .
