Rising 90 m above the corner of Merchant and Sule Pagoda Roads construction of this 25-storey office tower began in 1995, but was suspended in 1998 during the Asian financial recession. Work resumed in 2005, but was stopped again during the global recession of 2008-09, with the project finally completed in late 2012. An adjacent 25-floor hotel tower is scheduled to open in November 2014.

Centerpoint Towers is almost fully leased with commercial offices and some retail shops. The Embassy of Canada is a major tenant on the ninth floor.
