Dormant Volcano, Mount Popa, also called Popa Hill, extinct volcano, central Myanmar (Burma), at the northern end of Pegu Mountain Range. It rises to 4,985 feet (1,519 m), has a mile-wide crater, and is the highest point in the range. Mount Popa is believed to be the home of the 37 nats, or spirits, that are a part of Burmese animist religion.
