This stoutly built tower mill was erected in 1804 and worked by wind until 1911 when it was gutted by fire. It was rebuilt and refitted in 1924 as a steam mill with new floors and an iron-framed hurst with two pairs of stones on the ground floor. These were latterly driven by oil engine and it ceased work finally in about 1960. The machinery was removed in 1982.
