The Buvuma Hils which gives the name to the area have a gap in the middle which allow a pass from Buvuma dam, clinic to wards Chief Puli pedi, Marupi Nari, who is the traditional king / Chief of the Babirwa (Nothern Sotho) people indidinous to this area
