Repository of morbid curiosities including serial killer art, execution devices, mortician's tools, a guillotined head, and relics from the Heaven's Gate cult suicides. Gruesome photos of murders and deadly accidents line the walls.

A particularly graphic "test photo" is supposed to let visitors know what they're in for before they plunk down the admission fee. Even so, there have been a number of what the staff calls "falling ovations" (passing out).

The husband-and-wife owners of the museum have set aside part of the building for their Chaos Gallery, a contemporary art gallery focusing on the macabre.

The building formerly housed the Mastering Lab, a major audio mastering studio that relocated to Ojai.
