Unspoilt seaside village, bypassed by all but local traffic. Lovely, quiet beach during the week, can get busy at weekends in summer. Two tall tower blocks of apartments at northern end, built on rocks with good snorkelling and plenty of fishing around them. Main beach recently redeveloped - bars and night-life until 4 or 5 in the morning, right on the sand. Boardwalk has been laid so the revellers don't have to get their shoes dusty. Anne and Alf W live here, as does their friend Antonio and his wife, Antonia. Close enough to La Linea for Manolo's in La L to be the fish restaurant of choice. Fantastic gallo, chocos, almejas and great wine. The very new development at Sotogrande at the southern end of the beach likes TG so much that it would like to adopt it as "Old Sotogrande". Ridiculous!
