Built in 1973, and formerly known as the Hospital Trust Tower (until 1995) and the Sovereign Bank Tower (until the early 2000s), the 410-foot tall One Financial Tower is the second tallest building in Providence as well as Rhode Island. One of the three buildings that make up the skyline in the cartoon "Family Guy," and one of the most famous buildings in the city's skyline. Along with the Bank of America Tower, both buildings are known for lighting up with seasonal colors; in this case, a row of large lights above the top floor's windows are colored for the holidays.
