Lipetskcement used to be a pioneer among cement plants in many ways. It was here that the first completely domestic dry process production line was deployed in 1973. Later on, the first automated production management system was implemented for this line, and it was also here that the first bag collectors were used with cement mills.

Transition to market economy required the plant to start producing new grades of cement and to reduce energy consumption. A separator was installed in order to produce high-grade cements. Production lines and compressed air systems were overhauled to reduce compressed air consumption. Commercial energy and fuel metering system was installed together with kiln body temperature scanners. This plant was the first in Russia to install thyristor-based starter for smooth starting of cement ball mills.

After joining EUROCEMENT Group in 2002, OAO Lipetskcement was the first plant to have an opportunity to test the newest international technologies in production. The plant has completed the first stage of third production line overhaul in 2006, which allowed to increase clinker production by 140 thousand tons to produce an additional 100 thousand tons of cement. Fridge was overhauled with hot area replaced, new clinker transporter and burner were installed, and main gear was upgraded.

Overhauling the third production line allowed the plant not only to increase production capacity, reduce energy consumption and limit emissions, but also to improve cement specifications significantly.

The plant produces PC 500 D0, PC 400 D0, PC 400 D20, ShPC 400 and СС ShPC 400 grades of cement.
